Grade 3 students recently explored the three fundamental states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. They did them through engaging, hands-on experiments using simple, everyday materials, thus gaining a deeper understanding of how matter behaves and changes form.
The young scientists, observed how ice melts into water, demonstrating the transition from solid to liquid. They also experimented with glue and washing powder to create a solid and finally used balloon with bicarbonate to generate gas.
These interactive activities not only sparked curiosity but also provided a meaningful opportunity to learn and use natural science vocabulary in English. Encouraging this kind of exploration helps students connect classroom learning to the world around them hence making science both accessible and fun.
